Yes..it is a very interesting fact, that to kiss someone is more safe than shaking hands. When we shake hands the germs are more likely to pass at that time. The hands are the most common media of transferring germs as such as flu, cold and stomach bugs and many more. While shaking your hand with others you dont even know what that person had touched before coming in contact with you. Moreover,a recent report warns that you are at far greater risk of passing on an infection by shaking someone‘s hand than by sharing a kiss.

Where Is The World's Largest Cricket Ground Located...??

The world’s highest cricket ground is in Chail, Himachal Pradesh. Chail and the famous cricket pitch are about 45 kilometres from Simla.

Built in 1893,towards the end of the 19th Century, by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh. It was built after levelling a hilltop, this cricket pitch is 2444 meters above sea level.

 Chail is a hill station situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It has many tourist attractions, out of which this cricket ground is a must-visit for tourists.

For many years it was mentioned in the Guiness Book Of World Records, but recently they have decided to delete it is no longer used to play cricket matches. Now it serves only as a school playground.

We all feel that we know our body very well, but is it true..?? Do you know which is the smallest bone of our body...??. Not to worry..in this post, I will provide information regarding the same. A normal adult has 206 bones in its skeleton. Bones are nothing but the rigid organs. They form the endoskeleton of the vertebrates. It is mostly made up of calcium phosphate.The functions of bones are to move, support, and protect the various organs of the body, produce red and white blood cells and store minerals.

Now, moving on to the smallest bone. It is a tiny bone in your inner ear, it's the size of a rice grain. It's the smallest bone in the body.

The name of the bone is 'Stapes' or 'stirrup'. It is located in the ear ossicle. It is one of the three bones that enables hearing.

It is just 3.3mm long in the average person. Its an important bone. It works with the other two bones of the ear ossicle.

Any damage to this bone in the body will affect hearing.

Tired Of Crying While Cutting Onions------Try Out This One.

Onions has some content of sulphur compounds in it. And when we cut the onion, these sulphur compounds are released. Sulphur by nature causes irritation to eyes and nose. Our eyes contain water and when these sulphur compounds come in contact with water, they form sulphuric acid. This acid causes irritation in the eyes which reaults in tears. These tears wash the eyes and flush out the acid.


There are many tips which helps to prevent this, but one of the most amazing is to chew a chewing gum while cutting onions. Chewing gum while cutting an onion does help to prevent your eyes from tearing up because you breathe through your mouth, which prevents the sulphuric acid from reaching your eyes. It may be because the gum fills the scent receptors which usually trigger the tears.


I have tried it once and I found it effective. I am a sinus patient, so I always have cold and really face great difficulty while cutting onions. I read about it and gave it a try...and to my surprise it really worked. I think all of you who have the same problem must try this one out....

Do You Know---- Fingernails Grow Four Times Faster Than Toenails

Everyone of you must have noticed that you dont need to cut your toenails as often as your fingernails. Many people think it happens only with them...but actually it happens with all of us.

A broken fingernail will take about 3 to 6 months to regrow whereas a broken toenail will take around 12 to 18 months to regrow completly.

Nails are made up of a protein known as Keratin. The growth of nails depends on several factors. The reason behind this is not clearly defined by medical science. But still there are mant theories to define this.

According to one theory, as fingernails are physically close to the heart than the toenails the fingernails receive better blood ciculation and the nutrients required for their growth. Hence fingernails grow faster than the toenails.

It is also said that the nails of the dominant hand grow faster than the other. Also the nails of the longest fingers grow faster. It is also mentioned somewhere that the sunlight also affects the growth rate of the nails.

Another theory says that the more thicker the nails the more time it takes to grow. While cutting your nails you must have noticed that the toenails cannot be easily cut by the same nailcutter which we use for the fingernails. Its just because the toenails are thicker and harder than the fingernails.

Some also believe that the nails of men grow faster than the women. Even the nails of the pregnant women grows at a faster rate, may be due to some hormonal changes due to pregnancy.

Are Elephants Afraid Of Mice.......??????

Elephants are known to be the largest animal on land. And mice are comparatively very very small. So...what do you say ..Are elephants afraid of mice....???. We have heard many jokes on this topic and my most favorite is..


As my grandmother does not like mice in her trunks..
same is the case for elephants...ha ha ha...


Actually it was believed that elephants are scared of mice, because they might enter the trunk of the elephant and would harm it, due to which the elephant wont be able to breathe, which in turn may cause death of the elephant.


On the other hand, Elephants have a very keen sense of smell, to warn them of danger. They can smell the mice about near the tips of their trunks, even if they cannot see it. And suppose if, the mouse succeeds in entering the trunk, the elephant can get rid off it just by a snort or blowing out a little air.


But at the same time we cannot deny the fact shown on episode of Mythbusters. Wherein, they have experimented and concluded that elephants are actually scared of mice.....
